This article analyzes the major problems encountered in translating lexical units related to international relations from English into Uzbek and vice versa. The research focuses on semantic differences, terminological inconsistency, cultural specificity, polysemy, and borrowing of international terms. The paper also discusses strategies that translators may use to achieve equivalence and accuracy in diplomatic and political discourse. The findings demonstrate that effective translation requires not only linguistic competence but also deep knowledge of political systems, diplomatic terminology, and intercultural communication. The article concludes that standardization of terminology and development of specialized bilingual dictionaries are essential for improving the quality of translations in the field of international relations.
