Abstract

he expansion of digital communication technologies has fundamentally reshaped linguistic practices across the globe, giving rise to new forms of language use that challenge traditional norms of grammar, vocabulary, and discourse. This paper provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of the linguistic features of internet communication in English and Uzbek. It examines how online interaction influences lexical innovation, syntactic simplification, orthographic variation, and pragmatic expression in both languages. Drawing on data from social media platforms, instant messaging, and online forums, the study identifies key trends such as abbreviation usage, code-switching, emoji integration, and hybrid language formation.
