Abstract

The paradigm of English Language Teacher Education (ELTE) is currently shifting from isolated skill acquisition to a holistic professional development model. Historically, linguistic proficiency and pedagogical training were treated as separate entities in university curricula. This paper proposes an integrated methodology designed to develop both linguistic and methodological competences simultaneously. By synthesizing Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) with reflective practice and micro-teaching simulations, the methodology aims to cultivate "Pedagogical Content Knowledge." The study argues that future teachers should not
only possess a high level of English proficiency but should also master the specific linguistic tools required for classroom management and instructional delivery.
