This study investigates the efficacy of gamified learning environments
compared to traditional teacher-centered instruction in the acquisition of English grammar among English as a Second Language (ESL) learners. While traditional methods rely on deductive reasoning and rote memorization, gamification integrates game-design elements to enhance engagement. Using a quasi-experimental design, the research analyzes pre-test and post-test scores of 60 intermediate ESL students. The findings suggest that gamification significantly improves learner motivation and longterm retention of complex grammatical structures, such as tense consistency and
conditional clauses, compared to conventional methods.
