THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN HEALTHCARE

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing healthcare by enhancing diagnosis, treatment, patient monitoring, and administrative efficiency. Machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, and robotic systems support medical professionals in decisionmaking and improve patient outcomes. This paper examines the role of AI in healthcare, highlighting its applications, benefits, and challenges. Using a qualitative review of academic studies, industry reports, and case studies, the study explores AI’s impact on diagnostic accuracy, personalized medicine, hospital management, and patient care. Findings indicate that while AI improves efficiency and accuracy, ethical considerations, data privacy, and implementation costs remain significant challenges. The research concludes that integrating AI responsibly and strategically can transform healthcare delivery and improve global health outcomes.
