Remote work has become a defining feature of modern employment, accelerated by technological advancements and global events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. While it offers flexibilities and eliminates commuting, remote work can influence productivity and employees’ work-life balance in complex ways. This paper explores the impact of remote work on productivity and work-life balance, examining both benefits and challenges. A qualitative review of recent literature, surveys, and organizational reports was conducted to analyze how remote work affects individual performance, team dynamics, and overall organizational outcomes. Findings indicate that remote work enhances autonomy and reduces commuting-related stress, but may also blur boundaries between work and personal life, potentially leading to burnout. Effective management, digital collaboration tools, and supportive organizational policies are essential to optimize productivity and maintain employee well-being.
