TEACHING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN UZBEK SCHOOLS:MODERN METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES AND THEIREFFECTIVENESS

Abstract

This article analyzes modern methodological approaches used in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) in Uzbek schools and evaluates their
effectiveness in classroom practice. Particular attention is paid to Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Learning (TBL), blended learning, and the integration of digital technologies. The paper provides theoretical foundations, practical classroom implications, and evidence-based observations on how these approaches enhance learners’ communicative competence, motivation, and autonomy in the Uzbek educational context.
