Ovarian endometriosis is associated with hormonal imbalance and
immune dysfunction leading to reduced local immunity and ectopic endometrial implantation. This study evaluates IL-6 as a non-invasive biomarker for ovarian endometriosis. Women were divided into two treatment groups receiving dienogest alone or combined with immunocorrection using Derinat. A significant decrease in IL
6 levels was observed after 3 months (41.85±2.86 pg/ml) and 6 months (17.67±0.95 pg/ml, p<0.001). The findings suggest that IL-6 is a potential inflammatory marker in endometriosis, though its exact role remains controversial. Platelet activation may also contribute to disease progression, indicating the importance of combined immunological and hematological assessment.
