Abstract

Renewable energy has emerged as a pivotal solution to mitigating climate change by reducing emissions of greenhouse gas, diversifying energy sources, and promoting sustainable development. Solar, wind, hydroelectric, and bioenergy technologies offer alternatives to fossil fuels, which are the primary contributors to global warming and
environmental degradation. This paper examines the role of renewable energy in combating climate change, evaluating its environmental, economic, and social impacts. Using a qualitative review of academic literature, international reports, and case studies, the study highlights the benefits and challenges of renewable energy adoption. Findings
suggest that scaling up renewable energy infrastructure, improving technology efficiency, and implementing supportive policies are essential for reducing carbon emissions and achieving climate goals. This research concludes that renewable energy is indispensable for sustainable global energy systems and climate resilience.
