GIS-BASED ASSESSMENT OF IRRIGATION WATER USEEFFICIENCY IN THE LOWER OHANGARON REGION: ACOMPREHENSIVE LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of domestic and
international scientific literature, dissertation studies, scholarly articles, and regulatory and legal sources related to the assessment of irrigation water use efficiency in the Lower Ohangaron region. The study summarizes scientific works devoted to the Chirchiq-Ohangaron irrigation system, the Ohangaron River basin, the reclamation condition of irrigated lands, water balance, water losses in irrigation networks, groundwater regime, water-saving technologies, and the application of geographic information systems in water management research.
