The article discusses the main areas of individualized instruction, taking into account students’ level of artistic preparation, age, pace of developing visual skills, perceptual characteristics, and creative interests. Particular attention is given to methods such as pedagogical observation, demonstration, differentiation of learning tasks, independent work, and reflection. The importance of creating a sense of success and developing positive motivation among students during portrait drawing is also emphasized. A step-by-step methodology for organizing portrait
