Abstract

The growing need for innovative student assessment methods in modern
education is evident, as traditional approaches fail to meet contemporary demands.
However, the practical challenges of implementing these modern methods in general
education schools remain insufficiently explored. The aim of this study is to analyze
modern assessment methods and identify effective ways for their practical implementation in general education settings. A literature review was conducted based
on 13 scientific sources published after 2020, utilizing databases such as Google Scholar
and OAK. The analysis revealed that formative, project-based, portfolio, and digital
assessment methods are effective in developing student competencies. Nevertheless,
significant methodological and human resource challenges, including insufficient
teacher qualifications and technological infrastructure, hinder their widespread adoption
in general education schools. The study concludes that systematic solutions, such as
teacher training and infrastructure development, are crucial for the successful integration
of modern assessment methods into general education
