Abstract

This article examines approaches to improving the special physical
fitness of Paralympic judo athletes by taking their individual characteristics into account.
It discusses the scientific and methodological foundations of organizing the training
process based on athletes’ physical capabilities, functional status, specific movement
characteristics, and level of sports proficiency. Particular attention is given to the selection
of specialized exercises aimed at developing strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, and
coordination, as well as the individualization of training loads and the systematic
monitoring of physical fitness indicators. The proposed approach may contribute to the
development of individualized training programs, the improvement of physical fitness,
and the enhancement of athletes’ preparedness for competitive performance. The findings
may also provide a methodological basis for optimizing the training process of
Paralympic judo athletes according to their individual needs and capabilities.
