Abstract

This thesis theoretically analyzes the manifestation of emotional regulation and its psychological characteristics across various stages of family life. It highlights the emotional changes, psychological adaptation processes, and distinct aspects of interpersonal relationships that emerge during family formation, childbirth, the upbringing of children, and subsequent stages of family life. Furthermore, it examines the importance of spouses' ability to understand, manage, and constructively express their emotions in fostering family stability, mutual understanding, and conflict resolution. The role of emotional regulation mechanisms is elucidated in the context of changing psychological tasks and emotional needs characteristic of different stages of family life. Ultimately, the development of emotional regulation skills is substantiated as an essential factor in maintaining a healthy psychological climate within the family and strengthening marital relationships.
