Abstract

Digital technologies are one of the main driving forces of the 21st century, bringing unprecedented changes across all sectors of the global economy and society, fundamentally reshaping production methods and social relations. The aim of this study is to deeply analyze the role of digital technologies in the development of economy and society. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review based on scientific articles, monographs, and reports from international organizations published between 2020 and 2023. Data was collected from international scientific platforms such as Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, as well as portals of scientific journals in Uzbekistan, using keywords like "digital technologies," "digital economy," "social development," and "Uzbekistan digital strategy." The analysis revealed that digital technologies significantly increase production efficiency, create new business models, optimize decision-making processes, and reduce operational costs. They enable small and medium-sized enterprises to access advanced IT resources, fostering innovation and competitiveness. In social spheres, they expand access to knowledge in education, improve service delivery in healthcare, and facilitate transformation in public administration through e-government initiatives. In conclusion, digital technologies serve as a crucial tool for stimulating economic growth and achieving inclusive social progress.
