Abstract

This article analyzes the current state, challenges and future prospects of perinatal medicine in Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to antenatal care, early identification of high-risk pregnancies, safe childbirth, neonatal resuscitation, care of preterm and very-low-birth-weight infants, and continuity of postnatal care. Based on international recommendations and ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, priority areas for improving the quality of perinatal services are identified. Digitalization, standardization of clinical protocols, continuous professional development, effective referral networks between perinatal facilities, and family-centered care are considered
key priorities for the future.
