CONCEPT AND CHARACTERISTICS OF TERRORISM FINANCING

Abstract

This article examines key aspects of terrorist financing in the context of
the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and international standards, such as the FATF recommendations. It analyzes the definition of terrorism in national legislation, as well as its relationship with terrorist crimes. It points out that existing definitions are insufficient for a full understanding and effective counteraction to both terrorist financing and other crimes with a terrorist focus. The article emphasizes the need to develop clearer and more comprehensive definitions, as well as a comprehensive approach to combating terrorism and its financing.
