Abstract

This article analyzes the role of role-playing games in the psychic development of preschool-aged children. In the context of
globalization and increasing environmental issues, the need to foster
ecological awareness, emotional stability, social interaction, and speech
activity in children is becoming increasingly urgent. In this regard, roleplaying games emerge as a key tool for supporting psychic development. The article highlights the views of renowned psychologists and pedagogues such as L.S. Vygotsky, D.B. Elkonin, and A.V. Zaporozhets, emphasizing the role of role-playing games in activating the child's “zone of proximal development,” fostering personal identity, and developing socio-cultural competencies. Additionally, the article presents findings from Uzbek scholars and proposes practical recommendations for integrating roleplaying games into the preschool education process. In conclusion, roleplaying games are assessed as a multifunctional and effective pedagogical tool for enhancing the speech, emotional, social, and cognitive development of preschool children
