Abstract

The digital revolution of English Language Teaching (ELT) in
higher education has accelerated in recent years, owing mostly to the global move to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. While digital tools provide great prospects to improve language instruction, its implementation is strongly dependent on teacher preparedness and institutional support. This research investigates universitylevel English teachers' readiness to utilize instructional technologies and identifies important impediments to adoption. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of strategic professional development, infrastructure investment, and cultural change in
maximizing EdTech's potential in ELT.
