Abstract

In ancient times, the problem of freshwater was most acute in the desert
regions of Central Asia, where hydrological flow was practically absent due to low atmospheric precipitation. Since then, methods of effective use of ancient types of hydraulic structures have been developed as measures to combat it, but they have become a forgotten value in our time. The article reflects the fact that the increasingly acute problem of freshwater in our time can be solved by modernizing a number of ancient types of hydraulic structures in
accordance with modern times.
