Abstract

This article discusses the issues of developing environmental legal awareness,
environmental competence of future geography teachers, and the consistent
improvement of theoretical fundamentals, practical and methodological foundations, methodological support in this area, as well as the effective organization of environmental education in educational institutions, and analyzes the experiences of many developed foreign countries in establishing the correct relationship between man and nature. It also presents positive results of organizing environmental education in higher educational institutions and the main tasks assigned to teachers in this regard.
