STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC STUDIES OF MATERIAL SCIENCETERMS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
Abstract
This paper analyzes the formation patterns and semantic properties of key material science terminology in both languages, comparing their structures and meanings. The research focuses on how terms are created (morphologically and syntactically), how meanings are assigned or adapted, and how equivalents emerge in Uzbek based on English scientific discourse. Special attention is paid to compound terms, borrowed lexemes, affixation, calques, and semantic shifts.
