This paper examines the historical stages in the development of the Uzbek language, tracing its evolution from early Turkic roots to its modern standardized form. The research explores phonological, lexical, grammatical, and stylistic transformations across different periods of the Uzbek language. Using a historical-comparative method, the study analyzes ancient written monuments such as “Orkhon-Enisei inscriptions,”“Devonu lugʻotit turk” by Mahmud Koshgʻari, and the works of Alisher Navoi, which
represent milestones in the language’s evolution. The findings reveal that the Uzbek language has undergone systematic structural and lexical enrichment influenced by social, cultural, and political changes. The research underscores the importance of preserving linguistic heritage and highlights the Uzbek language’s role in shaping national identity and cultural continuity.
