Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of culturally responsive
teaching (CRT) methods in multilingual classrooms, focusing on how these strategies impact student participation, identity development, and academic success. Using a mixed-methods approach across three diverse schools, the research analyzes how teachers incorporate students’ cultural and linguistic backgrounds into pedagogy.Findings reveal that CRT significantly increases classroom engagement and builds stronger student-teacher relationships, particularly when linguistic diversity is embraced as a resource rather than a barrier.
