THE PHONETIC AND LEXICAL SIMILARITIES ANDDIFFERENCES AMONG UZBEK, TURKISH, AND AZERBAIJANILANGUAGES
Abstract
Languages belonging to the Turkic language family exhibit deep
historical and structural connections that have endured for centuries. Uzbek, Turkish, and Azerbaijani stand out as prominent representatives of this linguistic family, each reflecting the culture, geography, and history of its respective nation. Although these languages share a common origin in Old Turkic, regional differentiation, foreign influence, and linguistic reform movements have resulted in distinct phonetic and lexical characteristics.
