Abstract

Meniscectomy remains one of the most common surgical procedures for
meniscal injuries of the knee joint [1, 2]. However, meniscal removal, even partial, alters the biomechanics of the knee joint, reduces its stabilizing function, and increases the risk of developing post-traumatic osteoarthritis [3, 4]. Postoperative recovery is determined not only by the extent of the intervention but also by a number of factors, including age, gender, body weight, type of injury, and the presence of concomitant injuries [5]. Determining these factors is crucial for optimizing individual medical
rehabilitation programs and preventing complications [5].
