THE IMPORTANCE OF BIOLOGICAL LITERACY IN THE SYSTEMOF FUNCTIONAL AND NATURAL-SCIENTIFIC LITERACY

Abstract

The article discusses the role and importance of biological literacy
in the system of natural-scientific and functional literacy. Biological literacy is an important factor in developing scientific thinking in students, forming an ecological culture and establishing a conscious attitude to a healthy lifestyle. The study scientifically analyzes the role of functional literacy in educational programs and state educational standards, as well as natural-scientific and biological literacy as its components. Also, the importance of biological literacy in the development of naturalscientific and functional literacy is substantiated from a scientific and practical point of view.
